Within 30 days of leaving our cattery, if your kitten is diagnosed with any life-threatening condition such as HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), Feline Leukemia (FeLV), Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), or FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), we offer comprehensive protection upon confirmation from a licensed veterinary hospital.

Based on veterinary standards, 30 days is considered an appropriate time frame to detect these conditions, given their typical incubation periods and diagnostic processes. This health guarantee reflects our commitment to responsible British Shorthair breeding and provides every new kitten owner with transparency, trust, and complete peace of mind.

Currently, genetic testing is not considered a fully reliable method to detect HCM in British Shorthairs.

We ensure that all our breeding British Shorthairs are HCM-free, verified through echocardiography (ultrasound heart screening) and careful lineage selection.

Before any kitten leaves our care, they undergo three comprehensive veterinary health checks, which include auscultation (listening to the heart for murmurs).

If no murmurs or irregularities are detected during these evaluations, the likelihood of developing HCM is considered very low.

While the FeLV vaccine is not part of the core vaccination schedule for indoor cats, we proudly offer it as an optional service for our kitten families who would like additional peace of mind.

If you wish to include extra protection, you can easily add the FeLV vaccination to your British Shorthair kitten’s health plan at the time of reservation for a small additional fee.
